EASAC REPORT ON HOMEOPATHY
Lincei Fellow Prof. Alberto Mantovani represents the Academy in the working group promoted by EASAC (European Academies Science Advisory Council, www.easac.eu) to carry out a policy report on homeopathy.
 
25/01/2017-26/01/2017 Lincei Fellows Profs. Cesare Montecucco and Carlo Patrono represent the Academy at the G20 Academies meeting to be held in Halle on 25-26 January 2017. This initiative, promoted by the Leopoldina Academy (www.leopoldina.org), is finalised to the release of a joint statement on "Improving global health: tools and strategies to combat chronic and communicable diseases".
 
6/12/2016 On 6 December 2016 in Seoul, within the premises of the Korean Academy of Science and Technology (KAST, www.kast.or.kr), the 2nd KAST-Lincei Symposium was held (see programme) in the framework of the collaboration agreement between the two Academies. This meeting follows the first Symposium that was held in Rome in April 2015 (see programme).
The Lincei Academy has been represented at the Seoul meeting by Fellows Fabrizio Catanese and Ciro Ciliberto.
 
7/09/2016 On 7 September 2016 the President of the Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei, Professor Alberto Quadrio-Curzio, together with Lincei Fellows Giovanni Jona-Lasinio and Mario Stefanini, welcomed a delegation of about 50 representatives from the Royal Holland Society of Sciences and Humanities, including its President, Professor Louise Gunning-Schepers. After a brief introduction of the two Institutions by the respective Presidents, Professor Frits Berends gave a presentation on Hendrik Lorentz (1853-1928), Dutch physicist and 1902 Nobel Laureate, as well as member of both the Accademia dei Lincei and the Holland Society. The meeting concluded with a visit of Palazzo Corsini, particularly of the Academy Library and the currently ongoing exhibition entitled I libri che hanno fatto l’Europa (The books that have made Europe), as well as Villa Farnesina.
