Profile
Omar Bartoli is Associate Professor of Petrology at the Department of Geosciences, University of Padua. His research focuses on the impact of high-temperature metamorphism on differentiation of the continental crust, with particular emphasis on the evolution of felsic magmas and their volatile components. More recently, his research has focused on testing new approaches to dating geological processes, constraining the mobility of critical metals under high-temperature, high-pressure conditions, and reconstructing the evolution of geodynamic processes using the mineral zircon as a time capsule with an age of three to four billion years.
