Profile
Stefano Resconi is Associate Professor of Romance Philology and Linguistics at the Università degli Studi di Milano. He obtained his PhD at the Scuola di Dottorato Europea in Filologia romanza (Università degli Studi di Siena) and has been visiting research fellow at King’s College – London; he was awarded the «Antonio Feltrinelli Giovani» Prize for Philology and Linguistics in 2022. His primary research interests include the comparative study of Medieval Romance lyric traditions – particularly focusing on the manuscript transmission, linguistic contacts, and interferences with other genres –, the Italian reception of Medieval French and Provençal literary culture, the sources of Dante’s poetry, the relation between Romance texts and artistic/performative representations. He takes part in national and international research projects, including those currently devoted to feminine voice in vernacular lyric and to Medieval didactic manuscript miscellanies.
